Skybus To Introduce Wi-Fi Into Fleet

SkyExpress plans to offer a complete wireless internet service, including access to corporate and personal e-mail accounts, SMS texting and instant messaging. SkyExpress officials say the Wi-Fi service, supplied by Softbank, will work with laptops, smart phones and other PDA devices and provide download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

SkyExpress officials said by May 1 2010 the company will begin introducing Wi-Fi service to its entire fleet, offering wireless broadband connections by autumn 2010.

This new service will allow passengers to connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as laptops, smart phones and other PDAs. The service shall be provided free to all passengers.
